First recipients of Joyce Family Foundation bursary graduate from Georgian
Oct. 7, 2026
Four years after taking their first steps toward careers in nursing, three Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) students graduated in June, thanks in part to the Joyce Family Foundation Nursing Access Bursary.
Created through a $1.5-million gift from the Joyce Family Foundation, the Nursing Access Bursary recognizes that financial barriers should never stand in the way of future nurses. By easing financial pressures, the bursary enables students to remain in the program, complete their education and prepare for careers providing compassionate care in communities where nurses are urgently needed.
Thanks to the Joyce Family Foundation’s investment, these graduates are the first of many future nurses whose lives, and the lives of the patients and communities they will serve, will be transformed by this remarkable gift.
