Student success is about fostering environments where students can truly flourish, where their potential is not just realized but celebrated, and where they emerge as empowered changemakers ready to thrive in a dynamic world.

Biography

With a diverse background – including roles as faculty, program coordinator and lead on changemaking – Suzie has been instrumental in shaping the college’s commitment to student success and social innovation.

Her leadership has led to groundbreaking initiatives, such as leveraging the concepts of flourishing and thriving to create a new student success framework. Under her guidance, Georgian became the first and only Ashoka U designated changemaker college.

Before joining Georgian, Suzie founded and led Addus, a Toronto-based community agency supporting adults with developmental disabilities to lead active lives. Her experiences navigating complex systems and co-creating solutions have informed her collaborative leadership style.

Suzie holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University and is a trained Executive Transition Practitioner. In the past, she supported a community of consultants supporting agencies and associations through non-profit leadership transitions through her boutique consultancy, Engage Consulting.
