Biography

Kevin has called Georgian home since 2014. He joined the college as Dean of Technology and Visual Arts before serving as Vice President, International, Workforce Development and Partnerships, and Vice President, Academic.

His leadership in those roles was instrumental in the opening of the Peter B. Moore Advanced Technology Centre, Nursing and Wellness Wing in Owen Sound, and significant transformations to the Sadlon Centre for Health, Wellness and Sciences. These spaces continue to meet evolving employer and workforce needs while fueling economic growth across Ontario and beyond.

With deep commitment and pride, Kevin became President and CEO on June 20, 2022. Since then, he has strengthened and broadened Georgian’s reach through local and global partnerships to address complex challenges, create dynamic talent pipelines, and inspire regional resilience. This includes advancing our role as a key collaborator across priority sectors, such as clean energy. It also includes the expansion of Georgian’s Centre for Skilled Trades, Centre for Industrial Simulation and Prototyping, and amplified presence downtown Barrie.

Working alongside Georgian’s dedicated Board of Governors, Kevin led the development of the college’s bold strategic plan, Game-Changing Innovation: Flourishing Students. Thriving Communities. The strategy positions Georgian to extend its influence as a recognized leader in immersive learning, unrivaled experiences, applied research, and innovation-driven community impact. He also meaningfully guided the college through significant organizational change driven by sector-wide challenges. Kevin’s belief is that moments of disruption are also moments of opportunity and Georgian’s role is not only to respond to change but to lead through it.

A people-centred leader, changemaker and ally, Kevin is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive teaching, learning and working environment where authenticity is embraced, diverse voices are amplified, and everyone feels a true sense of belonging. This inspired the opening of the GuardMe Student Success and Care Centre at the Barrie Campus, bringing together resources and services for students in one place to support their learning journey. He’s taken personal and college-wide steps to advance reconciliation, including revising our Coat of Arms to incorporate Indigenous elements. He’s also played an integral role in furthering the college’s military-connected strategy – humbled to be named a member of the Grey and Simcoe Forester’s Honourable Guard.

Fully invested in the betterment of the postsecondary sector and the regions Georgian serves, Kevin actively contributes to numerous provincial and national committees and initiatives. He’s also a dedicated volunteer who lends his expertise and strategic counsel to several boards and organizations, including the Board of Directors for Electricity Human Resources Canada.

Kevin holds a Master of Science from the University of Toronto, an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a postgraduate certificate from Fleming College.
