Georgian College – Drum Social

The Drum Social, hosted by Georgian’s Wiidookdaading Indigenous Resource Centre and in partnership with Lakehead University and Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin, is a social celebration of traditional Indigenous language, culture, song and dance.
Join us at the Barrie Campus gymnasium (J building) to celebrate this event. The drum social is a welcoming space for all to gather, learn, experience and connect as a community. Everyone is encouraged to take part – join in the dances, feel the beat of the drum, explore craft vendors and engage in shared learning and active participation.
Drum Social details
The event will be held at Barrie Campus gymnasium (J building) on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The event starts at 4:00 p.m. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. Break will be from 7 to 7:00 p.m.
Admission and parking are complimentary. Donation of non-perishable food items are appreciated.
