Georgian Jewellery is an on-campus, student-run store where creativity, craftsmanship and business come together. The store features original pieces designed and handcrafted by Georgian students, offering visitors the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind jewellery while supporting the next generation of Canadian jewellery artists and makers.
From rings and pendants to bracelets, earrings, brooches and other unique pieces, every item reflects the creativity, technical skills and craftsmanship developed through Georgian’s Jewellery Design, Bench Skills and Business program.
About Georgian Jewellery
Operated by students in the Jewellery Design, Bench Skills and Business program, the store provides practical experience in the business side of the jewellery industry.
Students gain experience preparing their work for sale, presenting and merchandising jewellery, interacting with customers and managing the day-to-day activities of a retail environment.
For visitors, the store offers an opportunity to discover new student work, meet emerging makers and support students as they develop their creative practice.
Jewellery Design, Bench Skills and Business
Georgian’s Jewellery Design, Bench Skills and Business program combines creative design and hands-on bench skills with the business knowledge needed to turn ideas into finished pieces and bring them to market.
Georgian Jewellery extends that learning beyond the classroom, giving students opportunities to create, present and sell their work while gaining experience with the customer and business side of their craft.
Jewellery sales, services and special events
Throughout the academic year, Georgian Jewellery hosts special sales and events featuring new and seasonal students work. These events offer additional opportunities to discover student designs and purchase handcrafted pieces directly from emerging jewellery artists and makers.
