Looking for a quiet place to study on campus, or want to hang out with friends outside the classroom? There are plenty of cool, fun and reflective spots on each of our seven campuses to choose from! Here are some of our favourites:
Have your own sweet spot not on our list? Let us know on social media – share your pics and details with the #ExperienceGeorgian hashtag.
1. Barrie Campus
The Barrie Campus is the largest of our seven campuses and a true community within a community – a welcoming and safe place to study, with all the amenities. Get active in the Athletic and Fitness Centre and on the rock climbing wall, take in some art in the Campus Gallery and at the downtown Barrie location, get a coffee or read a book in The First Class Café, relax with friends in The Last Class Bar and Grill, study in the library, cheer on the Grizzlies at home games on the J.C. Massie Field, connect with classmates in the Wiidookdaading Indigenous Resource Centre, and more!
2. Robbert Hartog Midland Campus
Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, the Robbert Hartog Midland Campus offers exceptional apprenticeship and skills training. Students love the small campus atmosphere and its beautiful surroundings, and enjoy congregating in the lunch and games room, outdoor picnic area, hallway greeting place, and Indigenous Resource Centre.
3. Muskoka Campus
Located in Bracebridge, the Muskoka Campus offers a personalized educational experience and small class sizes, but there are plenty of on-campus spaces to connect with classmates on campus too! A favourite among students is the academic meeting space, student lounge, outdoor pavilion and multimedia classroom.
4. Orangeville Campus
The Orangeville Campus provides a high-quality education in an intimate setting. Our students love the state-of-the-art computer lab, multimedia classrooms, and student resource centre and lounge!
5. Orillia Campus
The Orillia Campus is nestled in a picturesque setting and is home to great amenities like the cafeteria, library, student lounge, fitness centre, The Den pub and restaurant (pool and ping pong tables are a crowd hit!), and our more reflective spaces, like the Indigenous Resource Centre and Truth and Reconciliation Trail.
6. Owen Sound Campus
The Owen Sound Campus is located on almost 15 acres of property and is small but mighty. Our warm community offers everything students need, the ability to connect with staff and faculty, as well as a personalized approach to education. Popular spaces on campus include the fitness centre, library, student lounge (pool table and ping pong tables are a crowd hit!), the Indigenous Resource Centre, and The Last Class restaurant.
7. John Di Poce South Georgian Bay Campus
Located in Collingwood, the John Di Poce South Georgian Bay Campus offers state-of-the-art facilities and a close-knit culture that allows students a chance to connect with faculty, staff and classmates. You’ll find quiet places to study in our BYOD (bring your own device) areas on the first and second floor, as well as in our foyer and lunch room, or you can unwind with a game of foosball or ping pong!
