Course description

In this course, students develop an overview of the role of Training and Development (TD) in Human Resource Management. Students learn about key TD elements including needs analysis, program design, development, administration, delivery, and program evaluation. Additionally, students focus on underpinning topics such as adult learning theory, transfer of training, career planning, counselling, training techniques, budgeting and trends in training. Students gain hands-on opportunities to practice, create and evaluate an exceptional learning experience for their peers to support the development of 21st-century skills in response to the challenges of current market demands

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
