Course description
Students learn to design and implement needs-based therapeutic activities by teaching life, emotional and social skills and enhancing pro-social behaviour in children and youth who face challenges in various settings and contexts. Students apply facilitation and engagement skills when working with diverse individuals and groups. Emphasis is placed on relational practice, developmental needs, group development and process, and fostering a therapeutic milieu.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
