Course description
In today's society, hospitality, tourism and recreation businesses must be attuned to their customer's needs and competitive landscape. Students focus on the importance of the research processes, and the role research plays in staying competitive as they learn how to access and interpret relevant secondary data using a variety of techniques, tools, software, and sources. Students also explore the concept of primary research design by developing basic data collection and analysis skills in order to make evidence-based business decisions.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
