Course description
Students review Ontario provincial statutes in relation to common provincial offences, police and civilian powers and limitations in enforcement, investigation and inspection. Through classroom discussions and case-based scenarios, students learn about the court and appeals process, legal responsibility, as well as effective and professional testimony. In a mock courtroom setting, students demonstrate courtroom decorum, evidence presentation, and the application of correct legislation in a professional manner

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
