Course description
In this preceptored clinical experience, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides holistic care in a variety of practice settings to clients living with complex health challenges. The focus is to consolidate previously learned nursing skills with knowledge from theory courses and integrate into practice to function both independently and in collaboration with the interprofessional health team. Course registration is restricted to eligible RPN Refresher students. This course is not equivalent to any course in the full-time or part-time Practical Nursing diploma program. Students who have met all prerequisites for HSCI 0257 and HSCI 0258 can register for both courses simultaneously. Please contact the course coordinator.
