Course description

In this course, students explore the rewards and challenges of entrepreneurship and evaluate the business skills, communication abilities, and personal commitment required to successfully operate an entrepreneurial venture. By examining entrepreneurship from economic, social, environmental, and ethical perspectives, students learn how entrepreneurs identify opportunities, make informed decisions, and manage risk in real-world business environments. Students also assess their own interests, strengths, and goals to determine how entrepreneurship and small business ownership can play a role in their lives. Emphasis is placed on researching, evaluating, and making informed decisions about business opportunities and communicating those opportunities clearly and professionally in a Canadian context
